Design Process

This process is crucial to your project’s success

UX Design Process

In UX or “user experience” design, essentially you have a much longer planning phase with additional tasks. UX researchers do additional things such as user research, interviewing, writing personas and job stories, etc. All of these tasks are essentially planning and research that are later used when a mock up is created. (In some agencies and other large teams, UX Designers do not create mockups at all, and a different person, such as a “Visual Designer” creates it.)

The design industry puts a lot of emphasis on UX methods, and rightfully so. These methods result in design work that is more successful because it is based upon data rather than assumptions.

Design Process

01Define

Define task, problem, or goal

02Research

Brainstorm, collect requirements, and gather data of competitors, tech specs, features, etc to start giving you inspiration. Research audience/users so that you can start to understand how all the data and information you’ve collected may impact your design.

03Design

Make Wireframes and on approval of wireframes, Design a final, polished solution and revise on feedback. Our designers always keep in mind not to fall in love with their designs because it will become blindfolded on the designer’s eyes. The designer will become blind to the flaws of designs and will not be ready to take constructive feedback.

04Develop

Implement the solution with programmers. The solution may need revision as technical issues arise during this phase. The designers are also required to make sure their designs are implemented and used correctly.

05Test

Evaluate how well it performs in internal testing and what analytics, testing data, user interviews, and sales data say.
